  • God told the Israelites to BE CAREFUL to obey all his commandments.    Deut 11:22
  • God has a plan for us, and that plan will be carried out if only we are obedient
  • Obedience is an act of faith.        Heb 11:8
  • Adam and Eve disobeyed and never even repented. They were chased from the garden. Had they repented they could have been allowed to eat from the tree of life and live. (They had eaten from the tree of Knowledge of good and evil which led to death). Gen 2:9
  • Disobedience is categorized in the sins of the class of witchcraft. 1 Sam 15:23
  • God’s anger is upon those who disobey him. Eph 5:6

The sin of disobedience is quite common among Christians.

  • We disobey in going against the leading of the Holy Spirit
  • We disobey in giving and tithing
  • We willfully sin
  • We need to repent. 1 John 1:9
  • We listen to suggestions of others and disobey. We ask “Did God really say …”Gen 3:1. This is really a Devil’s lie.
  • We give in to sins that easily attract us, like Samson and Delilah.
  • We find ourselves sinning to please others.
  • Like Saul, we do it out of impatience.

=>We will never prosper in disobedience. Think of this. Isaiah 48:18 says

“Oh, that you had listened to my commands, then you would have had peace flowing like a river (other translations say ‘your prosperity would have been like a river’” NLT.

Remember, to reach your destiny, and to dwell the land of your destiny, you MUST OBEY the word of God, period. Consider the prayer bullets below:

  • O Lord my God, I repent of my disobedience (mention any sin of disobedience you may know).
  • I have disobeyed your word and your spirit
  • I rise against every seducing spirit operating in my life. I bind you and cast you away from my life in Jesus name.
  • I bind every spirit of lying, and every spirit of compromise. I renounce you now and cast you out of my life in Jesus name.
  • Spirit of God, send forth your word and your truth in my life
  • Holy Spirit, you are a wonderful counselor to me, give me wise counsel this day.
  • Lord give me courage and boldness to walk in obedience to your word.
  • Help me to patiently wait upon you.
  • Let your word build faith in me my God.
  • Give me hearing ears, seeing eyes and a heart willing to obey you always.
  • In Jesus name I pray.

How sweet it is to praise the Father.  There are many verses in the Bible that are full of praise. The book of Psalms is full of such praise. You need to enter His courts with praise.  Learn to do what Jehoshaphat and the men of Judah did when faced by the enemy – they lifted a song of praise to the Lord, and the Lord gave them victory. Consider the verses below from Psalms 44:1-8 (NLT)

O God, we have heard it with our ears-

Our ancestors have told us

Of all you did in their day, in days long ago:

You drove out the pagan nations by your power

And gave all the land to our ancestors.

You crashed their enemies

And set our ancestors free.

They did not conquer the land with their swords;

It was not their strong arm that gave them victory.

 It was your right hand and strong arm

And the blinding light from your face that helped them

For you loved them.

You are my king and my God.

You command victory for Israel.

Only by your power can we push back our enemies;

Only in your name can we trample our foes.

I do not trust in my bow;

I do not count on my sword to save me.

You are the one who gives us victory over our enemies;

You disgrace those who hate us.

O God we give glory to you all day long

And constantly praise your name.

What a powerful way to praise God!  Thank God for what you have heard He has done, what you have seen, and what you expect Him to do. Ask Him to drive away your enemies by his power and restore to you your fortunes. Ask Him to crash your enemies and set you/your people free. Ask Him to stretch forth his right hand and His strong arm, and with His blinding light from His face strike your foes and give you victory. Arise and command your enemies to be pushed back. Trample your enemies by the power within you that God has bestowed upon you. Praise Him for victory.

(You can use these prayers to pray for any other nation)

This is an urgent call to students in Kenya and any other interested person to come together to stand in the gap for this nation as we move towards the elections. We request and challenge each one to set EVERY FRIDAY dubbed the BLEESED FRIDAY to pray for this nation as an individual and also in our Christian unions. The C.U patrons or Christian teachers can download and print the sample prayer below for students’ use.

  • God requires us to pray for our leaders, our nation and our people. 1Tim 2:1-4
  • It is only God who can build us and who can securely protect us. Ps 127:1-2
  • God counts it as a sin if we don’t pray for him to intercede. He is always waiting for us to call him for he will do nothing if we won’t pray. 1Sam 12:23, Isa 65:1
  • We release a lot of power when we pray in unity. A thousand flees at the threat of one, ten thousand at the threat of two, at the threat of five, they all flee till they are left like a flagstaff on a mountaintop. Isa 30:17
  • If we shall come before the Lord as one people, then nothing shall be impossible for us. Gen 11:6
  • The effectual fervent (unceasing/passionate) prayers of the righteous man availeth much. James 5:16

So welcome you to the BLESSED FRIDAY’S prayer network. Let us look to every Friday as a day that the LORD GOD is calling us to him to seek him so as to bless us. Pass this information to as many C.U patrons, born again Christian teachers, students, Christian ministers etc as you can. You can consider to use the prayer points below, or add others as the Holy Spirit shall guide you. God bless you as we jointly seek the face of the Lord.
