Step Number 1
Help the believer see that God has already given the Holy Spirit and that it is now up to that person to receive God’s free Gift. Above everything else, help the believer see that he is not to beg God to fill him with the Holy Spirit. The promise that the Holy Spirit was to be given was fulfilled in Acts chapter 2. The Holy Spirit came on the Day of Pentecost, and He has been here ever since. After that time God hasn’t given the Holy Spirit to anyone. Now people simply have to receive the Holy Spirit. The apostles didn’t pray that God would give the Samaritans the Holy Ghost. They prayed that they might receive the Holy Ghost: “Then laid they their hands on them, and they RECEIVED the Holy Ghost” (Acts 8:17).

Step Number 2
Show the person who has come to receive the Holy Ghost that anyone who is saved is ready to immediately receive the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:37-38. Some people think there are certain things they have to do to qualify to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
For example, some think they have to make restitution for past sins.
V 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Some people have imagined that one has to be perfect before he can get the Holy Ghost. However, even the great Apostle Paul said he wasn’t perfect. Yet we know he had the Holy Spirit.

Step Number 3 Tell people that when you lay hands on them, they are to receive the Holy Ghost. Anyone can lay hands on another in faith, for God honors faith. However, there is also a ministry of laying on of hands, and some are used along these lines more than others. But anyone can lay their hands on a person in faith as a point of contact, and tell them, “This is the time — right now — that you are to receive the Holy Ghost.”

Step Number 4
Tell the candidate what to expect as he receives the Holy Spirit; otherwise, he won’t know what is happening when the Holy Spirit begins to move on him. Tell the candidate that he is to expect the Holy Spirit to move upon his vocal organs and put supernatural words on his lips which he will have to speak out himself in cooperation with the Holy Spirit. Remember, the person is the one who does the actual speaking, not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives the utterance, but man does the actual speaking. The point is this: the Holy Ghost doesn’t take you over, so to speak, and force you to do anything. But you can respond to Him and follow His promptings. He will give you the utterance, but you do the talking. Nowhere in the Bible do we find that the Holy Ghost spoke in tongues. Every scripture reference tells us that the person receiving the Holy Ghost does the talking and speaks the supernatural utterance — tongues — the Holy Spirit gives him.
ACTS 2:4 [They ] began to SPEAK with other tongues, as THE SPIRIT gave them UTTERANCE.

Step Number 5
It may be necessary to help some folks get over their fears first before they can receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Many seekers have been told by well-meaning people that they might get something that is false or counterfeit when receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
LUKE 11:11-13 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: HOW MUCH MORE SHALL YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER GIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT TO THEM THAT ASK HIM?
God promises to give His Spirit to those who ask him, not a counterfeit spirit.

Step Number 6
Tell the candidate to open his mouth and be ready to use his own mouth and vocal chords, for the Holy Spirit will give the utterance, but he must yield and give voice to that utterance. At the same time the believer should tell God in his heart, “I am receiving the Holy Spirit right now by faith.” Insist that the person does not use the natural words but the ones the Spirit of God gives him. When that person can hear himself speak in tongues in a distinct language, he will have assurance and confidence that he has received the Holy Ghost. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, OUT OF HIS BELLY [spirit] SHALL FLOW RIVERS OF LIVING WATER.

Step Number 7
Keep the candidate from being distracted. For instance, don’t permit a crowd to gather around the candidate, giving instructions all at once. This will confuse a person. I like to have only a few workers whom I have specially instructed to help folks receive the Holy Spirit. Many times folks are a little slow about yielding to the Spirit, but if someone is there to help encourage them to yield to the Holy Spirit, people can more readily receive. For example, when going swimming, sometimes it is hard to get some folks in the water, but if you will take the lead and get in the water and swim around and say, “The water sure feels good,” they will be encouraged to get in the water too. Similarly, sometimes you can simply speak in tongues yourself after praying with the candidate, and this will encourage the candidate to “follow you into the water,” so to speak — into the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

The above teaching is extracted from The Holy Spirit and His Gifts by Kenneth E. Hagin

Gal 4:19 My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ be formed in you–

How often do you pray for new believers? How often do you pray for your pastor, friend, spouse, child? Many a times we celebrate when one has come to Christ; angels too rejoice in heaven. Jesus compares the idea of salvation with a sower planting seeds which fall in different soils. He says thus:
Mt 13:3-9 And he spake to them many things in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went forth to sow; and as he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the birds came and devoured them: and others fell upon the rocky places, where they had not much earth: and straightway they sprang up, because they had no deepness of earth: and when the sun was risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. And others fell upon the thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked them: and others fell upon the good ground, and yielded fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He that hath ears, let him hear.
Any believer is a product of a seed sown (I hope and pray that the reader has been sowing, if not, do it – you must be productive). Different soils and different climatic conditions will play a great part in the growth of this believer regardless of his age and years in salvation.
Paul, writing to the Galatian church helps them understand the passion he has had to see the church growing in the things of God. He call the church “my little children”, meaning that he regards himself to be their father. He further informs them that he has been travailing for them until Christ be born in them. Writing to Thessalonian church he says that his greatest desire is that the church (his hope, joy & glory) be worthy before our Lord Jesus.
That same mind that was in Paul should be ours too. We need to pray consistently that Christ be formed in the life of our dear one. That in all their manners they may be transformed to the image of Christ. Begin it and you will see great difference in their lives. Before you complain about them, put them daily praying Pauline prayers for the church to them- that Christ shall be formed in them, that they may grow in love; that God will give them wisdom, understanding, revelation etc; that they will love the LORD above all else. Travail until this is birthed. Remember, God holds you accountable for those he places near your reach. I was recently jolted by this testimony by Kenneth Hagin where he describes an episode that happened in his life. He had been led to intercede for a certain man but refused to heed the direction the Spirit of God was leading him to. He always thought he would have time to pray for him. After some time the man died, and God showed him through a vision where the man was. He was in hell, screaming and wailing as fire burned him without ceasing. It was a terrifying experience to him indeed. Jesus pointed out to him that He held him (Kenneth) responsible for the death of the man! Reason? He refused to intercede for him. How guilty are we also about the same? May God help us.
Please take the challenge – intercede for Christ to be formed in others.

i wish you all the lord's blessings

I have just had a session before the Lord in prayer. I asked Him to guide what to put down today in my blog, then He led me to passionately pray for the many people who have been visiting my blog and those who have been following, including those who shall read in coming months or years. I have laid this prayer before my God, and I know He is faithful to fulfill it. If you believe it just say AMEN, or pray it back. The prayer goes like this:

  • I thank you father for the many friends you have given me in this blog, including those who have been visiting. Thank for making them part of me.
  • Father I pray that you shall bless them abundantly.
  • I pray for those who have not received your son Jesus Christ as their personal savior that you may draw them to you by your grace and mercy
  • I pray that they may know you as the only true God and savior
  • I pray that you shall deliver them all from the schemes of the devil
  • Father I ask that they will grow from one glory to another, and that they will hunger and thirst for you always
  • Direct their feet in ways of righteousness, and help them abhor all manners of wickedness
  • Some of them father are struggling with sins that easily entangle them, deliver them my God. Cause them to overcome and to detest their sinful ways
  • Some are at the point of making critical decisions, may you give them wise counsel
  • Some of them are at a point of giving up, help them see your hand guiding them and stretched to pick them up, even to forgive and guide them
  • Let the words spoken against them be nullified, and let everything written against them by their enemies be cancelled in Jesus name. let every tongue that rises against them in condemnation be silenced today in Jesus name
  • Give them a spirit of wisdom and understanding, as well as discernment
  • Holy Spirit of God, guide, teach and instruct them. May they find you a dear friend always
  • Father I pray for those whom the enemy has imprisoned, bound, yoked, and set in dark dungeons, that you deliver them by the power in your name
  • Let the pits that have been dug before them be filled, and let the barriers that have stood before them crumble in Jesus name. be the light unto their paths always
  • Send forth your word and your truth upon each one of them
  • Teach them to rely and put their trust in you, teach their hands to wage war against their enemies
  • May your favour overshadow them, o my God
  • Let the doors closed before them by their enemies be opened, and let those that have been opened be closed
  • Establish them in righteousness, be their solid foundation
  • Let every evil hidden before them be revealed, and let their enemies be frustrated
  • Some have entered into evil covenants with or without their knowledge, deliver them
  • I pray that they shall be transformed from one glory to another, into the image of your son Jesus Christ
  • I pray that they shall be bold, and shall not feel ashamed to testify you before men
  • Open doors to speak your word to your servants
  • Father I pray that they shall exemplify Christ-like character wherever they shall serve you, and your name shall be praised through their good deeds
  • Anoint them afresh, and fill them with love, joy, peace, praise, self control, kindness holiness and all the good that come from your presence
  • May their light shine brighter and brighter like a new day.
  • Extend their territories, and lead them to the destiny you have called each one of them to. Arise and meet every power that fights against their destiny today in Jesus name
  • There is a lot to pray for them father, I know you love them, overshadow them with your love, and father I pray that by your grace and mercies, one day one time, we shall all meet together in glory, to live with you forever.
  • I bring all these issues before your throne of mercy, in the name of your loving son Jesus Christ
  • AMEN

Psalms 18 is one of the deadliest psalm that that a prayer warrior can use in engaging in spiritual battles. Lest you forget, Paul tells the church at Ephesus that  “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” Eph 6:12. A Christian is therefore, constantly engaged in battles. You can arise and pray Psalms 18 during your day of battle. Consider praying thus:

  • Father you are my strength, my rock and my fortress, even my deliverer. You are my shield and the horn of my salvation. V.1,2
  • You are worthy to be praised, when I call upon you, you save me from my enemies v.3
  • Remember o Lord how you saved me when pangs of death surrounded me, with floods of ungodliness causing fear in me. Sorrows of Sheol surrounded me as well as snares of death. V.4-6
  • Arise o Lord and deliver me from the wicked that rise against me. Let every flood of wickedness against me be consumed. I command sorrows and fears to depart now. Shield me today and let the horn of my enemies be broken v1-6
  • Arise and shake the heavenlies and the earth, let wicked foundations in my life, family and neighborhood be shaken to nothingness. Let your foundation replace any other foundation that has stood against us. V.7 -11
  • Let you voice thunder and silence every voice of the enemy. Rain coals of fire upon them as you drive them away. V. 12-13
  • Let the fiery arrows of the enemy be extinguished and broken. Let the arrows of the Lord scatter our enemies v.14
  • Rebuke the powers of darkness fighting me from the sea. Uncover all wicked plans set against me and thwart them today in the name of your son Jesus Christ. V.15
  • Draw me out of the many waters, deliver me from my strong enemies v.16
  • Support me and bring me to a broad place, for you are my rock of salvation v.17,18
  • Help me walk in ways of righteousness, and depart from evil
  • Teach my hands to war. I arise and break the bows of my enemies v.34
  • Today I pursue my enemies and overtake them. I will not turn back till I destroy all v.37
  • I beat my enemies like fine dust and I break their necksv.42,43
  • Let all strangers who rise against me submit to me, let them come out as frightened from their hide outs v.44-45
  • Lord I give thanks to you, for you are my refuge and deliverance, glory be to your name v.47ff

NB. Your enemies whom you pray to destroy are not human beings, but rather demonic forces that they operate under and all forces of the devil. The bible commands us to love those people who ill-treat us.

What goes through your mind anytime you think of speaking in faith when you are praying. The Bible defines faith as a substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb 11:1). It also records that without faith you cannot please God, and that whoever asks for anything, he should do it in faith, without wavering (James 1:6). This week the Lord took me through James 1:17 “Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit”. Elijah was a man like you and me, yet he prayed an extraordinary prayer. He was able to command rain and it obeyed. Look at the expressions ‘it might not ’ and ‘it gave’ which is the same as ‘it might’.

On another episode, Jesus commented the faith of the Centurion. “And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel” (Matt 8:5-10). The centurion knew a fact that many people are ignorant of, that just as He was in authority and had soldiers under him to serve him, Jesus  also have on our side divine ‘soldiers’ to help him for he was serving in a kingdom. We have angels as ministering spirits to serve us as we live for Christ (Heb 1:14). Any time you send a word, they pick it up and fulfill it.

We are created in the image of God (Gen 1:26). One aspect of Him is that He is a creator. Looking at how he brought to pass his creation, we find that He spoke a word “Let there be .. “ and  there would be (Gen 1). The Spirit of God was there to effect everything He said. It is the power in the Holy Spirit who brought Jesus from the grave, and this power is upon believers (Eph 1:18-20). Therefore, believers should declare with authority and faith and it shall be. Joshua was able to command the sun to stop (Joshua 10:12-13) and it did. Jesus commanded the storm to quieten and it did. He was unhappy with their little faith. Mt 8:26 “And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm”. God has put you in a position to command even the heavenly hosts and they work to your favour.

When God made man, He gave him dominion over his creation (Gen 1:28). He was to rule over it. Before this he had already created the sun and commanded it to rule during daytime while the moon at night (they still do even today, they have power even to smite you Ps 1215-6 but God shields us). But now in came man, he was now even to rule over them as they do their assigned duties. This is why when you wake up you need to declare what you expect for the day, just as the psalmist  would by saying  “ This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it” Ps 118:24.  Joshua was therefore exercising his given authority over the sun.

So what happens when we speak a word of faith? The words we speak are taken by angelic beings that minister to us and effect what we say. However, when we confess defeat, the devil, who is an accuser of brethren, takes the opportunity to accuse and bring the evil we feared. When a witch wants to perform a miracle, she orders demons that are under her and they carry out her duties. With them they perform miracles to the wonder of their followers. We have more than this. Elisha’s servant doubted this powerful provision of help, when Elisha prayed for his eyes to be opened, he saw horses and chariots of fire around them (2Kings 6:17).

I pray that Christians would see this mighty providence from our loving father. I wish they would imagine the mighty angelic beings pushing the waters of the red sea to pave way for the children of Israel, I wish they would see the word of healing they send being taken at a supersonic speed to be effected to the sick, I wish they would have faith to speak without doubting trusting that God takes over the rest. We need to speak faith in our situations, in our places of work, in our family etc. you will eat the fruit of the words you speak. Speak life to your situation. Pr 18:21says “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”. Remember “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16). Speak it, again and again and again and again. Doubt not. Blessings

Praying at midnight can be a time of great success to the prayers of a born again person. Which hour is midnight? This does not necessarily means exactly at 0000 hrs (though it can also mean so,), but that time of the night when a new day is being ushered in. this can range from some minutes before 0000hrs to 2:00 am. This time is crucial for a prayer warrior. I give credit to Elisha Goodman who has written extensively on this subject, (maybe you should have a look at his site). Consider the verses below:

Ex 11:4  And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:

Ex 12:29  And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. {dungeon: Heb. house of the pit}

Jg 16:3 And Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of an hill that is before Hebron. {bar…: Heb. with the bar}

Ru 3:8 And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet. {turned: or, took hold on}

1Ki 3:20 And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thine handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.

Job 34:20 In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand. {the mighty…: Heb. they shall take away the mighty}

Ps 119:62  At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.

Mt 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Mr 13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

Lu 11:5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

Ac 16:25  And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

From the above we can deduce the following:

  • God visits his people at such a time, as the gates of the new day are opening.
  • He comes to bring blessings to his people and destruction to his enemies. The enemy knows about this hour and so he will come to bring destruction.
  • If you fall asleep (1 Kings 3:20), the enemy will exchange your blessing at such a time, remember Jesus taught his disciples that the enemy comes to plant evil while they are sleeping.
  • It is a time to worship the Lord. It is a great sacrifice to worship the Lord at such a time, when your body demands sleep. This is the time David would wake up to praise the Lord
  • It is the time gates are opened for blessings and closed afterwards that you may not acces your blessings, like it happened to the maids. It is also the time to take control the gates of your enemies (Gen 24:60) as Samson did. You can lose great blessings at such a time.
  • Intense worship at such a time opens your prison gates, as it happened to Paul and Silas.

Arise o watchman; take note of your time of blessings and spiritual victory. The good thing about praying at such a time is that you are able to frustrate the plans of the enemy before he settles to plan evil concerning you in the new day. You can also speak blessing to your morning and your day. At such a time you also posses the gates of your blessings and appropriate them upon your life and the community you stand for.midnight

The bible commands us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Ps 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. You will prosper for remembering to pray for the peace of God’s people. In this way you will be fulfilling also “Do good in your good pleasure to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem” Ps 51:18

  1. God has called us to prayer. You learn prayer through praying. We have fellowship with God through prayer. Matt 26:40-41. Watch and pray that you will not get into temptations.
  2. God has invited us to ask, seek and knock. Matt: 7:7. There are times you will ask and God will provide, but other times you will have to seek what seems to be hidden. You need to ask God to reveal what has been hidden for it to be revealed. Other times you will need to engage warfare for the enemy to release your blessings. You need to knock.
  3. God has made us to be kings and priests. Rev 5:10. 1 Pet 2:9. You need to rule where you are as a king. You should also go before the lord to offer sacrifices on behalf of Gods people. You should intercede for them.
  4. Priests offer sacrifices in an altar. Make your home an altar where you can be seeking the lord from. No two altars can operate together. Destroy any ungodly altar in your home/family.
  5. Kings rule. Decree a thing and it shall be established. Job 22:28. Know God’s word. Hide it in your heart. You overcome by the blood.
  6. Kings went to war. You need to put on the full armour of God, Eph 6:10-19. Wage war against your enemies. Ask God for divine strategies. Ask Him to make you wiser than your enemies. Capture what the enemy has taken. Settle for nothing less than see complete deliverance of your people. Ask the Lord to teach you how to fight the battle.
  7. Be disciplined and alert, the devil wants to devour you and your people. Resist him and he will flee. Your brothers elsewhere are also facing the same. 1 Pet 5:7-9.
  8. To fight you must be free. Break chains, yokes, destroy nets, traps and traps. You Fill pits, cancel decrees, break generational curses etc. God wants you free Gal 5:1. Bring all the burdens at the foot of the cross. You can’t fight the enemy when he is on your side.
  9.  For the enemy to attack you, he must have bound you or there must be an open door. Search yourself to see which door of sin you have opened. The door can also be opened by a family member or a prayer partner who is walking in sin. It can also be opened by items in your house which have satanic connection but you haven’t detached yourself from them through prayer. Always sanctify any new item you buy like clothes etc through prayer and disconnect them from any wicked connection. The door can be opened by sins like immorality, gossip, pornography, disobedience, hatred, unforgiveness, bitterness, sexual pervasion etc.
  10. Carry one another’s burdens (as the Lord leads) Gal 6:2, Eph 6:19. Pray for your pastor and friends, no matter how strong they may look. Even Paul says ‘pray for me’. Rescue the oppressed through prayer. An oppressed person cannot fight for himself, he can’t only cry for help. Since you are free, hearken to their cry.
  11. A blind person, deaf or hard of understanding cannot lead others. Ask God to lead you and to open your spiritual eyes, ears and give you a new heart that can respond to him. Don’t allow your eyes to watch what is vile, and don’t allow your ears to listen to what hurts the Holy Spirit in you. Let your ears be full of light, then your body shall also be filled by the same Matt 6:22.
  12. The enemy plants evil especially when you sleep: both physically and spiritually. Remember to pull down what the enemy has planted. Matt 13:24.
  13. There many ways of fighting your enemies. Ask the Holy Spirit to direct you. He can lead you to fast, read aloud the word, sing, give thanks, rebuking your enemies, binding, loosing, declaring a word, laying hands, prayer walking, praying with others etc.
  14. The Holy Spirit is the best teacher. Rely on him always. Seek him to revive you, renew you, anoint you afresh etc.
  15. Eat well. Be strong. Prayer drains a lot of energy. Eat proteins. A weak body is more susceptible to diseases.
  16. God is looking for a person to stand in the gap, are you ready? Don’t give excuses Jer 7:10, Eze 22:30.

How faithful have you been in praying for your leaders. The plan of the enemy is to make your leaders as ineffective as possible. It is also to make the country/community as ungovernable as possible. It is up to you to keep them in prayers. Don’t wait to complain when things go wrong. In fact you should always ask yourself how much you should be blamed for leadership that is ungodly.

God’s will for us is contained in His word. Let the scripture speak:

1 Tim 2:1-3 I urge, then, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good and pleases God our saviour

Isa 65:1-2 I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me. I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name. I said “Here I am, here I am”. All day long I have held out my hands to an obstinate people, who walk in ways not good, pursuing their own imaginations

There is much said about praying for leaders in this blog so just check more explanation about this topic in similar categories and tags. I found out that Proverbs 16 can be a desirable way to pray for our leaders. Remember, you should always repent on their behalf as you stand in the gap for them. God waits to hear from you! Don’t be silent as you seek God for your leaders and nation.  Ask God to

  • Give them wisdom in planning for our nation and also guide their steps v.1,7
  • That they will commit to the lord whatever they do. Also commit everything they do to the Lord. V.3
  • Remove wickedness and pride from them, and frustrate the proud and wicked. V.4 and 5
  • To create in them hearts that love, make them faithful and fear Him. Remove hatred and unfaithfulness from their lives. V6
  • That God shall order their ways and make them pleasing to Him, and make their enemies at peace with them. V.7
  • Cause them to desire righteousness and hate injustice. Work to see justice in the land and uphold it.v.8
  • Take away dishonesty from them, make them honest, truthful and hate wrong doing. V 11-13
  • For His face to shine upon them and find favour in Him. V. 15
  • Make them walk in the highway of the upright and avoid all evil against them. V.17
  • Heed instructions from the Lord, shun pride and put their trust in the Lord. V. 18-20
  • Give them wise counsellors and a discerning spirit. Give them understanding and take away folly from them.  V.21-23
  • Give them good health and healing to their bones. V24
  • Take away from them greed, wickedness, perversion, violence and all manner of evil. V 26-30
  • Cause them to be patient in what they do and bring them to a ripe old age. V. 31-32
