we need one another

we need one another

Spiritual warfare, just like any other warfare, will become intense sometimes to the point that you will need help from outside. What will you do when you find that you have been surrounded from every side and all avenues of getting out have been blocked. Well, you can stand still and wait for somebody to come to your aid or for a miracle to happen. The other reasonable thing you’ll do is to make a distress call for help. When help comes from outside, your enemies will flee for their dear lives. At times a child off God will find himself/herself surrounded in such a manner. How will you know that you are surrounded? It will begin with the enemy taking grounds you had earlier on occupied, you become weak and frail and if you aren’t careful, will collapse. The following are tell tale signs that you are surrounded. If you:
 Become very weak in prayer
 Become weak in studying the Word
 Find it difficult to share Christ
 Lose interest in joining brethren in fellowships
 Doors of evil in your life/family/spouse seems to have opened and you can’t close them
 Blessings you had been enjoying and which are rightfully yours and which now have become far from your reach
 Thriving of satanic reports in your life/family
 Etc
If you are in the above and have prayed with very little success, its time you call for help. But from where? Ask the Holy Spirit to put in your heart brethren to call to stand with you. We need to lift one another up, as Joshua did to Moses. One will drive a thousand, two will drive ten thousands, many will drive many more. DON’T STRUGGLE ALONE

Have you ever realised that when you are working together in the same company or institution with fellow believers you are just workmates, if you never have time to fellowship together? Have you also realized that the desire to carry the other believers burden is very shallow? Try having time to come together and then you will feel deeply desiring to walk together with the other believers in your place of work.

Try to ask yourself the following questions:

  • Why am I working here? Is it by sheer luck, coincidence or God’s appointment?
  • Why do I have so and so as fellow believers in this company?
  • Do I understand that the welfare of this company is in my hands?
  • Do I know that I have a duty to stand in the gap for my boss, workmates and the company as a whole?
  • Do I know I have an answer every time there is a problem, that I can seek the Lord and he provides an answer?
  • Do I know that God can transform the people I relate with if I bring them and their needs before Jesus?
  • Do I know that those who seek the lord for peace of where they are will reap blessings?
  • Do I really know that I can take advantage of believers in my company to come together and pray, and that whatever we shall agree on shall be done for us?
  • Do I know it is the plan of the devil that I never fellowship with fellow believers?

Read the verses below and take an initiative of beginning a prayer fellowship or set time for corporate prayer with believers in your workplace, and I mean believers. Even if you are two, there is a lot you can do.

Joshua 1:3 I will give you every place where you set your foot , as I promised Moses

Jeremiah 29: 7 Also, seek the peace and the prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile, pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers you too will prosper.

Mathew 18:19 Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree on anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my father who is in heaven

Isaiah 30:17 A thousand will flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five you will all flee away till you are left like a flagstaff on a mountaintop, like a banner on a hill
