How faithful have you been in praying for your leaders. The plan of the enemy is to make your leaders as ineffective as possible. It is also to make the country/community as ungovernable as possible. It is up to you to keep them in prayers. Don’t wait to complain when things go wrong. In fact you should always ask yourself how much you should be blamed for leadership that is ungodly.

God’s will for us is contained in His word. Let the scripture speak:

1 Tim 2:1-3 I urge, then, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good and pleases God our saviour

Isa 65:1-2 I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me. I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name. I said “Here I am, here I am”. All day long I have held out my hands to an obstinate people, who walk in ways not good, pursuing their own imaginations

I found out that Proverbs 16 can be a desirable way to pray for our leaders. Remember, you should always repent on their behalf as you stand in the gap for them. God waits to hear from you! Don’t be silent as you seek God for your leaders and nation.  Ask God to
