Let the scripture speak.

James 4:6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
How bad it is for God to resist you in prayer or service.  Regardless of your position,  if you are walking in pride,  strive,  seeking more of early praise,  God will not listen to you.  He cannot share his glory with man.    Try the prayers below, with utmost sincerity :
That you may increase as I decrease

That you may receive glory in all I do

That you may help me not to think I’m standing on my own,  that you may hold me not to fall

That at the end of the day it shall be about you in me and us

That I may be a servant, not lord over others

That I may help others complete, better than myself

That I shall not be blinded by praise of men,  but that their praise to me shall be relocated to you

That I shall have a teachable spirit

That I shall recognise the beauty,  strength and contribution of others

That I shall not boast or pride over my accomplishments,  they are yours o Lord

That I shall be ready and willing always to be guided by your Spirit

That I shall not look down upon others because of their seeming lack

I shall endeavour to make the church of Christ great, one

I praise your name o God because the good work you have began in my life you will accomplish in Christ Jesus

Isaiah 45:3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call [thee] by thy name, [am] the God of Israel.

John 15:7-11 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and [that] your joy might be full.

Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Jesus is calling us to a deeper relationship. He wants to show and help us experience treasures that are hidden in secret places. He is calling us to treasures of His love, peace, joy, humility, righteousness, unity, wisdom, knowledge, revelations, understanding, meekness, grace, peace, divine victory, holiness, faith, purity among others. It is a place where He sheds us off self righteousness, condemnation, bondage, yokes, burdens, self centeredness, pride, lust, covetousness, busy bodying, back biting,  disunity, despair, fear, self worth etc.
He leads us to this sacred place of His treasures. Treasures are never found easily or in the open, you must work to get them. In Christ however, You just need to surrender and desire Him alone. Seek to find Him, ask Him to give you grace to seek Him. As we abide in Him and Him in us, we start getting changed to this wonderful glory.
Lets desire to journey and partake of these treasurers. The more we draw nearer to His heart the more the treasure and glory, and the more He will glorify in us. This is a place where we see ourselves as unworthy and the worst of sinners were it not for His grace. It is a place where He alone receives glory from whatever we do while in these earthly vessels. It is a place where we start seeing through His eyes of love, hearing through Him and desiring to see holiness and justice in your life and church. A place we shall know His heart for the fallen world.
May our prayer then always be: Spirit of God, lead me to that place I have never been before where your love flows deeper than the sea.

lift up your hands in prayer- in christ we are ...

Today I want to share one weapon that I have found awesome in spiritual battle. Sometimes in the thick of battles, one may not know what to say, and I find myself at times in this situation. The Holy Spirit on several occasions has prompted me to worship, and how I love such times of deeply worshipping the father! In the middle of the night I spread my hands and sing unto Him alone. I empty my heart to him and thank Him for how good He has been to me. Regadless of the battle I was going through, He gives me peace that surpasses human understanding and makes me sleep like a baby. How I treasure such moments. The Lord is so good, so sweet, He loves you, He sent His son to die for you and me. He cherishes those moments we are with Him, just you and Him. He inhabits the praises of His people, and no devil can come near. How I pray you, my friend, develop time to be with Him only, and when the battle rages next time, sing joyfully. Remember the story of Jehoshaphat. He led people to sing during a time of battle, and the Lord destroyed his enemies. “ For the battle is mine, says the Lord” (2 Chronicles 20:15). May the verses below lift your spirit

Ps 69:30  I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

Ps 95:2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

Ps 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

 Ps 107:22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing. {rejoicing: Heb. singing}

Ps 116:17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

Ps 147:7 Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

2Ch 20:21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.

22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten

23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

24 And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped

                                                           God bless you.

I love praying the written word. You see, it is living and active. It is sharper than a double edged sword (Heb 4:12). It is a powerful weapon. Praying the word is praying according to the will of the father. When we pray the word we gain confidence. For “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us”. Again “For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven” Ps 119:89. Psalms 23 is a powerful word, both for prayer and meditation. Consider praying it like this:

ü  I thank you father for being my shepherd. My confidence is in you

ü  Today I thank you because you will lead me beside green pastures and lead me beside quiet waters. I will both delight in you as well as enjoy your wonderful provisions for me.

ü  For your names sake, for your glory and your goodness, you will restore my soul. You will restore me from errors of wandering

ü  Your presence and pastoral care will be upon me. even if I walk through the valley of the shadow of death where danger looms, I thank you because you will be with me to save and sustain me

ü  Today, just like yesterday, you will furnish me with plenty and variety of provisions. My enemies will see, envy and fret but they will not hinder my blessings. I will attend thy banquet and feast with security. I receive your anointing over my head by faith, my cup will also overflow (God’s banquet has feeding, drinking and anointing – this used to be for distinguished guests, and such are you!)

ü  Wonderful God I thank you for your goodness and mercy that shall follow me all the days of my life. I will enjoy communion with you, and I will dwell in your presence for ever

God has called us to be kings and priests (Rev 5:10). Kings to rule with him and priests to offer prayers and sacrifices to him on behalf of others. Jesus is the high priest in the order of Melchizedek (Heb 7:17), interceding for us forever. For He lives to make intercession forever. The holy of holies was the place where the high priest used to get into to make sacrifices on behalf of people. God’s presence reigned therein. The presence of God is filled with his glory and power Amen. Yet God has called us to walk in this presence. Moses knew a lot about God’s presence. He would not dare leave without  God’s presence. His presence would always bring a distinction between God’s people and the rest.  He asks “How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all other people on the face on earth?”Ex 33:16. You and I need this presence, but like Moses we need to ask God to let his presence dwell in us. Ask God for his presence today, and you will start getting victory in areas you have been struggling in.

  • Holy father in Jesus name I come to you
  •  wash me, cleanse and purify me.
  • Draw me to your presence in Jesus name.
  • May your presence make me whole: body, soul and spirit.
  • Let me walk, talk, teach and be taught, preach, give, drink, eat and live in your presence.
  • Let your presence bring a difference in me
  • Anoint me in your presence today
  • Renew me, strengthen me revive me and restore me in your presence
  • Fight for me in your presence and deliver me o Lord
  • Breath a fresh in me in your presence in Jesus name
  • Let me hunger and thirst in your presence and let me be satisfied
  • I worship you, I love you, I honour you
  • May your presence guard my spouse, children and family in Jesus name
  • May your presence cover your servants
  • Release your glory in your presence
  • Let your presence melt away any veil, chaff, mark, evil stronghold, or darkness that might be covering me
  • Let me get divine direction, divine wisdom and divine revelation in your presence
  • May your presence in me make me to reach out to your people in love and help.
  • Thank you Holy Father. I will never be the same again.
  • I love you and always will.
