Hebrews 4:14-16 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Hebrews 2:10-11 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.

Hebrews 2:14-15 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.

As we approach God in prayer, we are coming to a throne; a throne of grace and mercy. This is the picture we should all have. He who sits there is Christ himself. He is our brother, even clever than our brothers, who is ready to help us in every way. He has passed all we pass through and has emerged victorious even without sin. He has been where we are, He understands our weaknesses, and He can offer our prayers to God in a better way than we do. And so friends,
we can overcome death as He overcame
sickness as He carried our infirmities
sorrow as He became a man of sorrows
captivity as He went into captivity and made it captive
every temptation as He was tempted in every way yet without sin
rejection as He was rejected
abuse as He was abused
physical, social and psychological attacks as He did
false accusations as He was falsely accused
labelling as He was labelled
make it to heaven as He is already there
… and the list goes on.
It doesn’t matter where we currently are, He was there and overcame, and He is ready to show us mercy and give us grace to overcome just as He did.

Lets tell Him that we are sorry where we let Him down. and BOLDLY ACCEPT HIS GRACE AND MERCY FROM JESUS OUR LORD AND BROTHER. We need to have this picture in our minds when we come to Him. He supplies my grace to conquer all in His name

Gal 4:19 My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ be formed in you–

How often do you pray for new believers? How often do you pray for your pastor, friend, spouse, child? Many a times we celebrate when one has come to Christ; angels too rejoice in heaven. Jesus compares the idea of salvation with a sower planting seeds which fall in different soils. He says thus:
Mt 13:3-9 And he spake to them many things in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went forth to sow; and as he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the birds came and devoured them: and others fell upon the rocky places, where they had not much earth: and straightway they sprang up, because they had no deepness of earth: and when the sun was risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. And others fell upon the thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked them: and others fell upon the good ground, and yielded fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He that hath ears, let him hear.
Any believer is a product of a seed sown (I hope and pray that the reader has been sowing, if not, do it – you must be productive). Different soils and different climatic conditions will play a great part in the growth of this believer regardless of his age and years in salvation.
Paul, writing to the Galatian church helps them understand the passion he has had to see the church growing in the things of God. He call the church “my little children”, meaning that he regards himself to be their father. He further informs them that he has been travailing for them until Christ be born in them. Writing to Thessalonian church he says that his greatest desire is that the church (his hope, joy & glory) be worthy before our Lord Jesus.
That same mind that was in Paul should be ours too. We need to pray consistently that Christ be formed in the life of our dear one. That in all their manners they may be transformed to the image of Christ. Begin it and you will see great difference in their lives. Before you complain about them, put them daily praying Pauline prayers for the church to them- that Christ shall be formed in them, that they may grow in love; that God will give them wisdom, understanding, revelation etc; that they will love the LORD above all else. Travail until this is birthed. Remember, God holds you accountable for those he places near your reach. I was recently jolted by this testimony by Kenneth Hagin where he describes an episode that happened in his life. He had been led to intercede for a certain man but refused to heed the direction the Spirit of God was leading him to. He always thought he would have time to pray for him. After some time the man died, and God showed him through a vision where the man was. He was in hell, screaming and wailing as fire burned him without ceasing. It was a terrifying experience to him indeed. Jesus pointed out to him that He held him (Kenneth) responsible for the death of the man! Reason? He refused to intercede for him. How guilty are we also about the same? May God help us.
Please take the challenge – intercede for Christ to be formed in others.

The more praying there is in the world, the better the world will be, and the mightier will be the forces against evil. Prayer in one phase of its operation is a disinfectant and a preventative. It purifies the air; it destroys the contagious of evil. Prayer is not a fitful short lived thing. It is not voice crying unheard and unheeded in the silence. It is a cry and a voice that goes into God’s ear, and it lives as long as God’s ear is open to holy pleas, as long as God’s heart is alive to holy things. God shapes the world by prayer. Prayers are deathless. The lips that uttered them may be closed to death, the heart that felt them may be closed to beat, but the prayers live before God, and God’s heart is set on them. Prayers outlive the lives of those who uttered them; they outlive a generation, outlive an age, outlive a world.

That man is the most immortal who has done the most and the best praying. They are God’s heroes, God’s saints, God’s servants, God’s vicegerents. A man can pray better because of the prayer of the past: a man of many and acceptable prayers have done the truest and greatest services to the incoming generation. The prayers of God’s saints strengthen the unborn generation against desolating waves of sin and evil.                                                                     E.M Bounds

Warfare prayer helps to prepare the way for the lord to come in. it opens the door for him to come into your life more abundantly, to come into your home and family, your community, church, your city and nation. Warfare prayer helps bring revival to God’s church; it helps multitudes to be free to receive salvation through Jesus Christ, and sets atmosphere of holiness and godliness in the land. This is why the enemy tries to resist you steadfastly from doing spiritual warfare against him.

Ps 2:8 declares “Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession”

Nothing is impossible with the Lord. Nothing is too hard for Him. The will of the father is that the nations worship him as the true God; he wants all to come to His saving grace. Praying for nations may seem too hard to be accomplished, but if God has challenged us to do it, let’s do it together. Remember, it is for this reason that the son of man was manifested, that He may destroy the works of the devil 1 John 3:8. The works of the devil are in all the nations of the earth, say with Isaiah “The nations will see His righteousness and all kings your glory” 62:2.

Please pray

ü      Gen 12:3 That all the people of the earth shall be blessed

ü      Isa 56:7 For the people of the nations to come to pray unto God , and that the house of the Lord shall be called a house of prayer for all nations

ü      Ps 46:10 For the Lord to be exalted/lifted among nations of the earth

ü      Rev 5:9 For men from every tribe, language, people and nation to be drawn to Christ for He purchased them for God

ü      Ps 96:10 That the nations will say “The Lord reigns”

ü      Matt 28:19 For many to be made his disciples

ü      For Christ to bring believers to dwell in cities where breakthroughs of blessings have not yet occurred, and for them to patiently pursue the promised blessings of Christ s kingdom in difficult places

ü      For God’s power of Love to bring lasting transformations throughout entire communities

ü      For hearts of God’s people to blaze with love and loyal obedience to Jesus as king and Lord of all

ü      Habb 2:14 For the earth to be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea

ü      For God to hear and answer the prayers of the poor, young and marginalized and would be glorified by their praises

ü      Acts 2:33 For the spirit of the Lord to awaken the nations to hear His voice and see his works

ü      Job 33:14-19 For many to be stirred by spirit driven dreams to envision Jesus alive and at work in their lives

ü      Acts 3:19 For God to bring movements of repentance that would bring times of refreshing so that men, women and children will experience God’s presence

ü      Acts 2:43 For Christ to move so powerfully and clearly that that His people as well as the on looking world are filled with awe.

ü      For God to intervene in wars, restraining spiritual forces of evil, subduing terrorism and protecting lives of the afflicted

ü      For the Bible to be translated to the 2500 people groups without even one verse in their language

ü      Acts4:25-27 That government leaders who oppose Christ would be blessed with wisdom so as not to be found fighting Christ.

ü      Acts 5:14-16 For communities to see the hand of Christ extended, bringing miraculous healing among the sick

ü      For the righteousness and justice of God to affect the ways of commerce, politics, cleansing whole societies from the curse of corruption

ü      For the joy of Christ’s kingdom to erupt in celebrations of grateful praise amidst every people group on earth

Heb 12:26 For the Lord’s voice to thunder among the nations, and shake the powers in the heavens and earth, and bring down all His enemies
