‘O God we REPENT …
For fearing people more than reverencing you!
For choosing to respond to the voice of masses instead of obeying the mandates of the scripture
For building our store of wealth at the expense of godly obedience to biblical stewardship!
For choosing to be and speak politically correct at the expense of silencing biblical truth!
For covering our bodies in the robes of popular fashions rather than the robes of righteousness!
For embracing half truths and obvious lies of the devil and ignoring Your Word that calls for unrighteous living for what it is: sin!
For the millions of children who are aborted by our very own people!
For operating in the spirit of selfish competition in our government, with our business partners, and especially your body, the church!
For embracing styles of entertainment that dull our spiritual senses and open each new generation to greater moral deprivation!
For exalting the ungodly and ignoring the godly!
For loving ourselves, our ways, our conveniences and our philosophies far more than we love you!
For the many lives the devil has destroyed while we, the church, slumbered and engaged in blame!
For using your word for cash gains!
For abandoning the first love we had!
And for these and many more, we humbly ask you to forgive us and heal our land. Amen’
